Sean is an award winning entrepreneur and facilitator with over twenty-five years of experience in helping people and projects achieve outstanding results. Sean is also an honorary Fellow in Enterprise at Durham University and served as a Trustee of the Royal Society of Arts and as a commissioner on the Mayor for London’s Creative Industry Commission.
Sean’s interest in helping groups of people work together productively led him to establish ProMeet in 2007. ProMeet has facilitated a very wide range of people and projects for clients that include Coca-Cola, Nokia, Ministry of Justice, Department of Work and Pensions and University of the Arts London. Sean also founded AudioFuel, a business that composes music and provides coaching for people who run, ride or swim. In 2003 Sean established Spirit of Creation, a pioneering ‘service design’ agency. Sean also co-founded the international Service Design Network. In 2000 Sean co-founded the Nowhere Group, a community of companies specialising in co-creation and innovation. In 1994 Sean was invited to serve on the board of the Design Council where he became Design and Communication Director, responsible for a quarter of the Design Council budget (£1.2m) and staff. Sean studied at Durham University Business School on the Graduate Enterprise Programme and established Octo Design in 1989 which grew to be the largest industrial design consultancy in the North East.
In 1990 Sean was named the UK’s “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” in the “LiveWire” scheme sponsored by Shell. He has written, spoken and broadcast on TV and radio on design, innovation and creativity in the UK and overseas.
